Indigo Academy is located at 3573 Winston Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23456, nestled on a 2.5-acre property in rural Virginia Beach. Our schoolhouse provides cozy classrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dedicated play area, all designed to offer a warm, home-like atmosphere for our students.

We are excited about the future potential of our expansive outdoor space. While it currently adds to the charm of our setting, we are continuously planning enhancements to further enrich the outdoor experience for our students and support their well-being.

Who We Are

Indigo Academy is an educational service dedicated to supporting families who are currently homeschooling or considering homeschooling with the right assistance. We offer a structured, challenging curriculum in a home-like environment. Our drop-off schedule from Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, creates a community of learning similar to a traditional school, but with plenty of time for family activities, outdoor play, community service, and extracurricular pursuits that cater to each student's interests and passions.

Indigo Academy currently serves children aged 6-10 in a mixed-age group setting, reminiscent of the schoolhouses of the past. Our unique approach to homeschooling in Virginia Beach ensures a personalized learning experience that adapts to the needs of each child.

We are a secular institution, allowing parents the freedom to guide their children's spiritual education as they see fit. Additionally, our program provides homeschooling parents the flexibility to manage their own schedules while their children are engaged in learning at Indigo Academy.

What is the uniform policy? Uniforms consist of solid-colored polos (any color) and khaki or blue pants, shorts, or skirts. Optional outerwear, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies, can be ordered. Indigo patches are available for personalization at $3.50 each.
What resources are provided for students and parents? Students have access to tablets/computers and the IXL learning app. Parents receive resources for home support, including homework, media use recommendations, and projects. We also provide end-of-year assessments and progress reports.
